Setup Instructions for Outlook Express

Outlook Express E-Mail Client Setup Instructions

To open Outlook Express, click Start, point to All Programs (Windows XP), and then click Outlook Express.

Click on TOOLS.

click on ACCOUNTS

Note: Your "Internet Accounts" window may list other Internet Accounts pre-installed.

Click on Add, then Mail…

Insert the name you would like displayed on your emails. Click Next.

Type in your username, the @ symbol and then matisp.net Click Next.

For Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server: type "mail.matisp.net" (without the quotes)
For Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: type "mail.matisp.net" (without the quotes) Click Next

For Account name: type your user name. For Password: type your password.
(This is the username and password you entered on your sign up sheet.)
password is case sensitive. Click Next

Click Finish.

Click Properties.

You will see the contents of the General tab.
change "mail.matisp.net" to "MatNet"
Click on the Connection tab.

Select Always connect to this account using:
by clicking in the box next to it (see below).

If you are using Dial-up,Choose MATNET from the pull down menu.
If you are using DSL, choose Local Area Network
Note: If you don't see the MATNET account in the pull down menu, you will need to setup your Internet connection.
Please refer to the instructions sheet for your version of Windows. Click Ok

Click Close.

Exit out of Outlook Express.

Your computer is now configured to use Outlook Express.
