To begin, click on Start, Settings, and then Dial-Up Networking.
This should bring up the Dial-Up Networking window. In here, double-click on the Make New Connection Icon.
Now the Make New Connection Window should be displayed.
Enter MATNET as the name of the computer you are dialing.
Your modem should be selected by default.
Click the button
It is best to keep the Area Code blank.
Insert 464-9982 for the Phone Number and leave the Country code as is.
Click the button
Click the button in the next window
You should now see a MATNET Icon in the Dial-Up Networking Window.
Right-click on the MATNET Icon and click on Properties.
In the MATNET Properties window, under the General Tab,
remove the check mark in the Use area code and Dialing Properties box by clicking on it.
Under the Networking tab, place a checkmark in Enable software compression, and in TCP/IP.
No other boxes should be marked.
Under the Security tab, insert your Username and Password in the spaces provided, (all in lowercase).
No other boxes should be checked.
Under the Dialing tab:
Select This is the default Internet connection.
Select Always dial my default connection.
Remove the check mark in Enable idle disconnect
Remove the check mark in Disconnect when connection may not be needed.
Click the button.
Right-click on the MATNET Icon once more, this time click on create shortcut.
When prompted if you would like the shortcut placed on your desktop, click Yes.
Your computer is now configured to connect to the Internet.
